Habe etwas aus Übersee bestellt, was per USPS bis nach DE gebracht wurde und ab da ist im Tracking … stille.

Working on the Dockerfile for the dev container in codespaces is quite good. If it errors it restarts into maintenance mode, preserves everything (I think), shows some logs and let’s you fix the issue before trying again. Nice.

Sure, you can omit a reverse proxy but do you want to go that route? Then you’d terminate TLS at the application which requires you to run as root to bind to the right ports. I’ve seen people say that this is ok with elixir, but I’m not yet convinced.

After a couple of days with borgbackup the used space on the NAS is around 90GB.
Borgbackup itself mentions that it holds 1,5TB of data in deduplicated and compressed form in this backup.
It sounds good but I have trust issues and should probably try a restore.

Initially I believed rust to be too low-level to be useful for me. I still gave it a try and rebuilt a small python web service.
It’s “basically done” and now I have this tiny docker container which has one layer with a single binary of 1.1MB size. That’s it. It is beautiful.

Dank Vodafone starte ich heute in den sechsten Tag ohne SIM Karte. Mein Handy mutiert zu einem Audio-Player, der Akku ist nach drei Tagen ohne Laden bei 21% und ich muss gestehen, dass das alles eigentlich sehr angenehm ist.
